How long will it take to make my teeth?

It varies.  To make a  set of upper and lower dentures will normally take at least four appointments, with around a week between each appointment.  Your first appointment will usually take 30-45 minutes, later appointments will not take so long.

How much control will I have over what they look like?

Again, it varies.  We will make every effort to make your new teeth to suit your preferences.  But it is important to remember that the teeth are a working replacement for the real thing!  We need to take this into account, so sometimes there has to be a compromise.  But we promise that you will get plenty of opportunities to see if you like the appearance of your teeth before we finish the job.

Can you do a ‘rush job’?  I need my new teeth urgently!

If you want us to cut corners on quality, no!  But I understand that sometimes teeth get lost or broken at inconvenient times.  We will do my best to get your new teeth ready, or repair your denture for you, in time.   There will be an additional charge for any time we work outside our normal hours!

Why do I need to see a dentist before you make a partial denture?

When the law changed to create a new class of dental professional called clinical dental technicians (CDTs) , the General Dental Council decided that a dentist had to check the dental health of people with some of their own teeth, and ‘prescribe’ the type of partial denture that would be most appropriate.  Be sure to tell your dentist if you want me to make your teeth, and ask him or her to refer you on to me.

Can you guarantee to make me teeth that will stay in place without fixatives?

We cannot guarantee it.  There are a small number of people who will always have a problem.  But I promise that we will try everything we have learned in many years working as a dental technicians to solve the problem.   Between us Andre and Robert have over 80 years experience designing dentures, and we do not give up easily!
